Hi, I’m Richelle (She/Her/Hers), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping people—especially children and teens—navigate life’s challenges with confidence, curiosity, and self-compassion!
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and individuals on the autism spectrum. I also support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, academic stress, and life transitions. In addition, I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and strive to create a safe, affirming, and welcoming space for everyone I work with.
While earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island, I discovered my passion for supporting others and advocating for mental health. I knew I wanted to become an LCSW to help my community and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health care. After graduating from URI, I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Western New Mexico University.
I spent over four years working with children of all ages diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in public school settings, helping them thrive and manage the stressors around them. During that time, I also supported students coping with trauma, PTSD, academic pressures, puberty, and major life transitions.
In my practice, I draw from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also integrate creative approaches like play therapy and art-based expression. Whether we’re using a game to explore emotions or tapping into creativity through drawing or storytelling, I believe healing and growth happen when we feel safe enough to express ourselves in new ways.
Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s a collaborative process tailored to your goals, needs, and pace. While I have specific areas of focus, I welcome individuals from all walks of life into my practice.
