Hi, thank you for clicking on my bio! My name is Funmibi Yusuff (she/her/hers) and I am a master’s level clinician. I received my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College. I first entered the field of counseling because mental health and addressing issues related to it is something I’m very passionate about. I grew up with a lot of stigma surrounding therapy and one of my goals is to help get rid of this stigma associated with this. It takes a lot of strength and courage to seek out therapy and I’m here to help you reach your goals and address any issues causing additional stressors in your life. We can work together to navigate through these issues and find solutions and skills to help alleviate them.
I have experience working with clients with PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorders, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, athletes, LGBTQIA+, as well as dealing with life transitions and the stressors associated with it. Although I work with all ages, I’ve primarily had a lot of experience with young adults, teens, and children as well as family therapy. I use a multi-modal approach in sessions which include CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution Focused Therapy, and TF-CBT. I believe this is the best approach to use what is most helpful for each individual client. I look forward to working with you and helping you along whatever season in your life you are in!
