I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; MSW graduate from Boston College.
I have a story telling background that helps me to engage in building therapeutic relationships that promote resilience and nurture developmental growth. I offer an experience-informed approach to helping clients to begin/in recovery from substance use disorders and build meaningful lives without chemical dependency. I am trained in helping older adults particularly relating to depression, isolation, or loss.
I also bring experience supporting children and coordinating services with teams including parents and schools as they face the challenges of attention, compulsive, behavioral, and mood disorders.
Through the development of collaborative therapeutic relationships based on unconditional regard, clients and I work together to solve problems and plan/carry out treatment plans to overcome traumatic experiences and reduce/eliminate unhealthy behaviors as applicable. Through this, it is my hope that clients will be able to move from reacting to mindfully responding to challenges in a way that works for them.
