Hey there! The fact that you’re here, reading this means that you’re ready for something in your life to change, and you’re looking for guidance about how to bring that desire to reality. I hope after viewing my profile that I seem like a good fit to accompany you on this journey of change you’d like to make in life. It’s always an honor when someone confides in and trusts me enough to help them through private and painful life experiences.
A little about me: I am a master’s level clinician with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johnson and Wales University. I also am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP). I have over five years of experience in the mental health field and have experience working with adolescents, kiddos, and adults. I have worked with various populations, including anxiety, behavioral struggles, depression, ADD/ADHD, trauma, substance use disorders, and life transitions. I have experience working with individuals from various walks of life, co-occurring disorders, and diagnoses.
My demeanor in sessions is warm, open, and down to earth. I believe that there is a need to utilize a therapy approach that is unique to each different client. My goal is to work with people towards achieving the changes they’re seeking to feel happier and healthier. To do that, I utilize various therapeutic approaches such as CBT, solution-focused, reality therapy, motivational interviewing, humanistic, and rational emotive therapy.
Whether you ultimately decide to work with me or someone else, I’d like to acknowledge what an achievement it is to be where you are already! Looking for a therapist in and of itself means you’ve already started the beginnings of something new.
Thank you for reading!
