“Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.”-Helen Keller
As a clinician and teacher, I have worked with children, teens, and adults with emotional and behavioral challenges. I have a Master’s degree and CAGS in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling as well as a Master’s in Special Education. I have a passion for helping all of my students and clients figure out their strengths and needs so that they can create SMART goals to set them on the path of living the life they want. I take a holistic, supportive, and client-centered approach to therapy. Each person is unique which means that the approach should be catered to your strengths and needs. My counseling approach depends on your needs. My goal is to help you function and feel better in the present by addressing the frustrating or repetitive behaviors or cycles that have kept you from moving forward. It is my hope that our work together will help you learn positive coping strategies that work for you and how to combat automatic negative thoughts so that you can maintain a healthy, fulfilling quality of life.
I incorporate aspects of a variety of therapeutic models into my practice, including aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Positive Psychology. I work with children, adolescents, individual adults, and families by offering psycho-education, skill-building in areas such as stress, depression and anxiety management, life transitions, self-care, relationships, grief, addiction, behavior and more.
Take the leap and get control of your life by making the call for help today. I hope to hear from you soon. **Telehealth and in-person appointments available**
