Arriving at this point where you are ready to make forward progress towards creating a better life is a huge step- it takes courage and insight. Navigating your way towards a happier, healthier, more balanced, and fulfilled life is not easy and we are not meant to do it alone.
Hi, I’m Emily Swift, I am a master’s level counselor with a MA in Holistic Counseling from Salve Regina University. I have three years of clinical experience as a substance abuse counselor and have taught yoga and meditation for over ten years. My approach to counseling combines clinical therapeutic methods with practices to integrate body and mind. As your counselor I wish to join you in a collaborative process- working towards the life you strive for while providing tools, motivation, support, empathy, and insight along the way. Together we will work to identify your deepest values and what drives you- as well as what blocks are hindering your progress.
Through the counseling experience, my intention is to provide a safe place for self exploration where you will feel heard, valued, and supported. My desire is to help my clients develop a deeper connection with themselves and work through limits caused by fear, anxiety, past experiences, and habitual patterns of mind to allow for healing and growth- I look forward to getting to know you and taking this journey with you.
